"I Swear By All The Flowers" is an album I composed as Life Toward Twilight.
The music is in large part sound collage mixed from snippets of antique sound sources (notably wax cylinder static and recorded voices), modern recordings of Victorian era technology and instruments. The music was composed using Fruity Loops and Ableton Live, with most of the sound editing done in Sound Forge. My chief engineering objective was creating an audio landscape put together entirely of vintage sounds using modern recording and production techniques.
All vocals written and performed by Elyse Reardon. I handled all the vocal production, mixing and arrangements.
I designed the cover art using photograph's I took in Detroit's abandoned Michigan Central Station, combined with some stock vintage photos in the public domain.
